The day begins with a calm and energizing yoga session designed to gently awaken the body, improve mobility, and prepare the mind for the day ahead.
The morning practice may include gentle mobility, Surya Namaskar, standing asanas, flexibility exercises, balance practices, guided pranayama, breath awareness, and a short meditation. The focus is on creating a steady and mindful start to the day while helping participants feel more active, centered, and refreshed.
Evening Practice
Evening sessions are designed to release physical tiredness and help the body and mind settle after travel, sightseeing, and other retreat activities.
The practice may include gentle stretching, hip and shoulder opening, restorative yoga, slow mindful movement, pranayama, guided relaxation, meditation, and reflection or gratitude practices. The overall focus is on relaxation, recovery, and creating a peaceful transition into the evening.
Schedule Flexibility
The exact yoga and mindfulness schedule may be adjusted according to the travel itinerary, weather conditions, available practice space, and the overall comfort of the group. Jivanyog may modify the timing or intensity of individual practices when required to maintain a safe, comfortable, and balanced retreat experience.
Journey Itinerary
Day 1 — Departure & Arrival
The journey begins with group assembly at the designated pickup point, followed by a short introduction and participant coordination. From there, the group departs toward the Himalayan destination with planned travel breaks along the way. After arrival, participants check in to the hotel and settle into their rooms.
The evening begins with welcome refreshments and a short retreat orientation, including an introduction to the Yog & Yatra experience. A gentle mobility and relaxation session helps the body unwind after the journey. The day concludes with a satvik dinner, a short mindfulness or gratitude practice, and rest.
Day 2 — Yoga, Nature & Mindful Exploration
The second day begins early with warm water or a herbal drink, followed by a guided morning yoga session. The practice includes pranayama and meditation to help participants begin the day with calmness and awareness. Breakfast is served after the morning session.
The rest of the day focuses on mindful exploration through a nature walk or local sightseeing experience. Participants enjoy lunch followed by some personal rest time. Later, the group may visit a cultural, spiritual, or peaceful local destination depending on the final itinerary and conditions.
The evening includes guided yoga and stretching, followed by relaxation practices. After a satvik dinner, participants come together for a short reflection session before resting for the night.
Day 3 — Wellness, Spiritual Experience & Self-Connection
The third day begins with a guided morning yoga practice, followed by breathwork and meditation. After breakfast, participants head out for a temple, spiritual, scenic, or culturally meaningful experience suitable for the destination.
A guided mindful walk may also be included, allowing participants to connect more deeply with the surrounding Himalayan environment. After lunch, participants have time to rest, journal, reflect, or simply enjoy some quiet personal time.
Later in the day, the group takes part in a wellness activity followed by an evening restorative yoga session. Pranayama, meditation, and gratitude practices help create a peaceful close to the day. Satvik dinner is followed by an optional group sharing or reflection session before rest.
Day 4 — Closing Practice & Return Journey
The final retreat day begins with a closing morning yoga session focused on gentle movement, mindful breathing, and meditation. After breakfast, participants join a closing circle to reflect on their retreat experience and the practices they would like to continue after returning home.
Following personal reflection and check-out, the group begins the return journey. Planned travel breaks are taken along the route for comfort and rest. The retreat concludes upon arrival at the designated drop-off location.
